The Bennington Recreation Committee will meet the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6pm.
From May – September we will meet at Sawyer Memorial Park (unless there is foul weather).
From October – April we will meet in the Town Hall Conference room.

Come celebrate Christmas in Bennington

  • Sunday, December 4th

11am-3pm Decorated Tree Stroll & Nativity Scavenger Hunt

Pick up your tree passport & scavenger hunt at Town Hall, the VFW, or Bennington Congregational Church starting at 11am.

*Families wishing to decorate a tree for the stroll may contact Bethany Craig at or 588-2106.

3pm-4:30pm Warm Drinks & Treats on the Town Green sold by Friends of the Library & Bennington Congregational Church. Pierce School PTO Wreath & Poinsettia Sale.

4:30pm Nativity Play in front of Bennington Congregational Church

5pm Lighted Truck & Tractor Parade – Francestown Road, Main Street, Acre Street, School Street

*No registration required. Parade participants should line up along Eaton Avenue at 4:45pm. Holiday themes only, no politics. No throwing candy or other items from vehicles. No walkers.

  • Saturday, December 10th – St. Lucia Celebration. Youth participants still needed! Seating is limited to family members of performers.  Please contact Bethany Craig at if you are interested.

Bennington baseball is available for boys and girls ages 5 – 12.
Signups are typically held in early March.
