Zoning Board of Adjustment

Notice has been given that a Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 7:45 p.m. at the Bennington Town Hall concerning an application by Brent Clark for a Variance concerning Article VII, Section C of the Bennington Zoning Ordinance. Applicant proposes building a new 3 bedroom home on the property located at Onset Road in the Commercial/Recreational District, further identified as Map 12, Lot 22,23,24.

Per order of the Board of Selectmen, effective March 4, 2024, the Town of Bennington has posted all Class V & Class VI roads with a 6-ton weight limit. The posting will remain in effect until otherwise posted. Home deliveries are exempt; requests for special exception should be directed to the Road Agent at 588-2660. A restoration bond may be required for an exemption to be granted.

 Effective November 1 through May 1, no vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Town of Bennington from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., nor parked on any street in such a manner as to impede snow removal. No person shall stop or cause to be stopped or park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with any snow removal operation regardless of date and time. Vehicles found to be in violation of the Parking Ordinance may receive a summons and/or may be towed by the Bennington Police Department.
