Notice is hereby given in accordance with RSA 155-E that the Bennington Planning Board will meet on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 6:15 p.m. in the Bennington Town Hall to consider an application for a sub-division. Upon a finding that the application is complete, the Board will immediately begin a public hearing. Applicant Matthew Despres proposes a sub-division on Map 10, Lots 48. The property is located on Old Stagecoach Road in the Village District.

You are hereby invited to appear in person or by agent or counsel and state reasons why the request should or should not be granted. Should a decision not be reached at the public hearing, this application will stay on the Planning Board Agenda until such time as it is either approved or disapproved. Anyone needing assistance to attend the meeting should contact the Selectmen’s Office one week prior to the scheduled date.

Notice is hereby given in accordance with NH RSA 674:71-73 and 674:21, the Bennington Planning Board will meet on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall for a Public Hearing to update the existing Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) ordinance based upon HB577, that was signed into law July 15, 2025.

Public Hearing

The Bennington Board of Selectmen will be holding a public hearing at Bennington Town Hall Gymnasium, Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm to review the proposed 2025 budget.

The Bennington Board of Selectmen will be holding the Deliberative Session on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall Gymnasium to review the proposed 2026 budget and the 2026 warrant.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Effective, March 10, 2025 all Class V roads in the Town of Bennington shall be closed to vehicles weighing in the excess of 6-ton. Anyone needing a special exception to this posted weight limit should contact DJ Wing, DPW at 603-588-2660. This posting shall remain in effect until further notice and as conditions warrant.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Effective November 1 through May 1, no vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Town of Bennington from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., nor parked on any street in such a manner as to impede snow removal. No person shall stop or cause to be stopped or park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with any snow removal operation regardless of date and time. Vehicles found to be in violation of the Parking Ordinance may receive a summons and/or may be towed by the Bennington Police Department.
