Board of Selectmen

In accordance with RSA 91A:3 II (c) notice has been given that the Bennington & Antrim Board of Selectmen will be meeting in Bennington NH at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Bennington Town Hall. It is concerning matters which if discussed in public could adversely affect the reputation of any person, other than a member of each respective board.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given in accordance with RSA 155-E that the Bennington Planning Board will meet on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 6:15 p.m. in the Bennington Town Hall to consider an application for renewal of an existing Excavation Permit. Upon finding that the application is complete, the Board will immediately begin a public hearing. Applicant D D Hardwick & Sons Inc. proposes an Excavation Permit renewal on Map 11, Lot 16 and Map 3, Lot 1. The property is located at 301 Francestown Road and access road off Route 31 in the Rural and Agricultural Zone.

You are hereby invited to appear in person or by agent or counsel and state reasons why the request should or should not be granted. Should a decision not be reached at the public hearing, this application will stay on the Planning Board Agenda until such time as it is either approved or disapproved. Anyone needing assistance to attend the meeting should contact the Selectmen’s Office one week prior to the scheduled date.

Notice has been given that a Public Hearing that was scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 @ 19:15 has been continued to Tuesday December 17th, 2024 @19:00 at the Bennington Town Hall. It is concerning a variance application by David Briggs on Article VII Section A of the Bennington Zoning Ordinance. Lot is Map 19bLot 16.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Per order of the Board of Selectmen, effective March 4, 2024, the Town of Bennington has posted all Class V & Class VI roads with a 6-ton weight limit. The posting will remain in effect until otherwise posted. Home deliveries are exempt; requests for special exception should be directed to the Road Agent at 588-2660. A restoration bond may be required for an exemption to be granted.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Effective November 1 through May 1, no vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Town of Bennington from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., nor parked on any street in such a manner as to impede snow removal. No person shall stop or cause to be stopped or park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with any snow removal operation regardless of date and time. Vehicles found to be in violation of the Parking Ordinance may receive a summons and/or may be towed by the Bennington Police Department.
