 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

 All recycling, with the exception of paper and cardboard, has been suspended until further notice. Recyclables will be disposed of in the compactor along with household waste. Please use discretion discarding bulky waste or other items that require a disposal fee.

 Until further notice, customers are asked to be prudent of social distancing and dispose of their refuse and move on.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Per order of the Board of Selectmen, effective March 2nd, the Town of Bennington has posted all Class V & Class VI roads with a 6-ton weight limit. The posting will remain in effect until otherwise posted. Home deliveries are exempt; requests for special exception should be directed to the Road Agent at 588-2660. A restoration bond may be required for an exemption to be granted.

WINTER PARKING BAN

Effective November 1 through May 1, no vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Town of Bennington from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., nor parked on any street in such a manner as to impede snow removal. No person shall stop or cause to be stopped or park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with any snow removal operation regardless of date and time. Vehicles found to be in violation of the Parking Ordinance may receive a summons and/or may be towed by the Bennington Police Department.
